The Office of the District Programme Officer, Child Development (Bal Vikas), Sonbhadra has released the UP Anganwadi Karyakartri Notification 2026 on 05 August 2026 on the official website https://upanganwadibharti.in. A total of 201 vacancies have been announced for the post of Anganwadi Karyakartri (Anganwadi Worker) under the UP Anganwadi Karyakartri Recruitment 2026.

Selection process

  1. Merit is prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained from Intermediate up to postgraduate qualification (High School marks excluded).
  2. Within the same Gram Sabha/ward, priority order is given as follows: First, widowed women from families living below the poverty line (BPL) in that Gram Sabha/ward.
  3. Next, legally divorced or deserted women from BPL families in the same Gram Sabha/ward.
  4. If no such candidate is available, other women from BPL families in the same Gram Sabha/ward.
  5. If BPL candidates are unavailable in the above categories, the same order of priority (widowed, then divorced/deserted, then general) applies to women from families above the poverty line in the same Gram Sabha/ward.
  6. As per an existing government order, two women from the same family cannot be appointed to Anganwadi Karyakartri and Anganwadi Sahayika posts at the same centre.
  7. Residence and caste certificates must be digitally signed and verifiable online; income certificates must be issued by a competent authority as per applicable government orders.
