UP Anganwadi Worker Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 119 Posts

The Office of the District Programme Officer, Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh) has issued a public notification inviting online applications for 119 vacant posts of Anganwadi Karyakatri (Anganwadi worker) under the Anganwadi projects operating in the urban and rural areas of Sultanpur district. The recruitment is being carried out on a contract/honorarium basis through a direct recruitment process, as per Government Order No. 2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated 17 September 2025 issued by the Principal Secretary, Bal Vikas Seva evam Pushtahar, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.

Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the advertised posts. | The candidate must be a resident of the same Gram Sabha (village) or urban Ward for which she is applying for the Anganwadi Karyakatri post.

1. Widow / legally divorced / abandoned (deserted) woman belonging to a family living below the poverty line (BPL) in the same Gram Sabha/Ward gets the first priority.
2. If no such BPL widow/divorced/abandoned woman candidate is found, women belonging to BPL families in the same Gram Sabha/Ward are given priority.
3. If no BPL candidate (widow/divorced/abandoned or general) is found, widow/divorced/abandoned women living above the poverty line in the same Gram Sabha/Ward are selected.
4. If none of the above are found, women living above the poverty line in the same Gram Sabha/Ward are selected.
5. If still no candidate is found as per the above, women from families living above the poverty line in the same Gram Sabha/Ward are selected from the remaining eligible applicants.
