UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 787 Anganwadi Worker & Helper Posts in Bijnour, Kanpur District

The District Programme Officers of Bijnour and Kanpur Nagar have released the UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 notification under the Bal Vikas Pariyojana (Child Development Project) for a combined total of 787 vacancies - covering Anganwadi Karyakartri (Worker) and Anganwadi Sahayika (Helper) posts. Only women candidates are eligible to apply. The age limit is 18 to 35 years as on 01 January 2026. Applications must be submitted online at http://upanganwadibharti.in - the last date for Bijnour is 15 July 2026 (12:00 midnight) and for Kanpur Nagar is 15 July 2026.

Only women candidates are eligible to apply for UP Anganwadi Karyakartri Bharti 2026. The minimum educational qualification differs between the Worker and Helper posts. Candidates must be a permanent resident of the same Gram Sabha / Ward in which the vacancy exists - applications from candidates of other Gram Sabhas or Wards will not be accepted. Educational Qualification Post Minimum Qualification Maximum Qualification Anganwadi Karyakartri (Worker) Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent Post-Graduate (merit based on graduation marks) Anganwadi Sahayika (Helper) Class 5 Pass (Primary level) Graduate (merit based on highest marks) For the Anganwadi Karyakartri post, merit is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Intermediate or equivalent qualification. For higher qualifications (graduation/post-graduation), marks are also factored into merit. The merit list is prepared using a grading and CGPA system - decimal points after three places are not rounded up. If two candidates secure equal marks, the one with higher age is given priority. If both marks and age are equal, the candidate with higher educational qualification is ranked higher. Age Limit The age limit for both posts is minimum 18 years and maximum 35 years . Age is calculated as on 01 January 2026 . High school marks certificate and date of birth proof must be as entered in the online application form. Age relaxation as per UP government rules applies to reserved category candidates. Residency Condition This is a strict eligibility condition unique to Anganwadi recruitment. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the same Gram Sabha / Ward (for urban areas) for which the vacancy is posted . Applications from women residing in other Gram Sabhas or Wards will be summarily rejected. For Kanpur Nagar, the notification specifically states this residency requirement is mandatory.
