UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 305 Anganwadi Worker and Helper Posts in Maharajganj District

The Office of the District Programme Officer, Maharajganj Anganwadi Karyakartri and Sahayika Notification 2026 has been released on 11.08.2026 through the official recruitment portal https://upanganwadibharti.in. A total of 305 vacancies have been announced through the Maharajganj Anganwadi Karyakartri & Sahayika Recruitment 2026, including 164 Anganwadi Karyakartri and 141 Anganwadi Sahayika posts.

Only women (female) candidates are eligible to apply for the Anganwadi Karyakartri and Sahayika posts. | Minimum educational qualification: Intermediate (12th) or an equivalent qualification. | Maximum educational qualification considered for merit: Postgraduate. | The candidate must be a resident of the same Gram Sabha (for rural areas) or the same ward (for urban areas) for which she is applying; local residency is mandatory. | At one Anganwadi centre, two women from the same family cannot be appointed as Karyakartri and Sahayika together. | Widowed applicants: The husband's death certificate and an attested copy of the family register (parivar panjika) issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer or the concerned Nagar Nikay are required. | Divorced/deserted (parityakta) women: A valid legal order issued by a competent court will be accepted. | Income certificate: Only income certificates issued by the competent authority as per UP Revenue Department Government Order No. 3959/1-9-11-Raj-9 dated 30.09.2011 (as amended), and verifiable online, will be accepted. The income limit for the below-poverty-line category (rural and urban) will follow Samaj Kalyan Anubhag-2 Government Order No. 22/2015/2123/26-2-2015 dated 14.09.2015 (as amended). | Residence and income/caste certificates must be digitally signed by the Sub-Divisional Officer (residence) and Tehsildar (income/caste) respectively, and must be verifiable online through the e-District portal. | If the income certificate uploaded in the application is not verified online, the applicant will be treated as not belonging to the below-poverty-line category, and the selection process will proceed as per rules. | If the caste certificate uploaded in the application is not verified online, the applicant will be treated as belonging to the Unreserved category for selection.

1. Selection will be made entirely on the basis of merit, following the procedure laid down in Shasanadesh No. I/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated 17.09.2025.
2. No written examination or interview will be conducted for these posts.
3. The entire selection process will be conducted online through the portal, as per the directions given in the government order.
4. Merit will be determined on the basis of the qualification from Intermediate up to Postgraduate level. Marks obtained in High School will not be included in the merit calculation.
5. To calculate merit, the percentage of marks obtained by a candidate is divided by 10. For example, 45% marks will count as 4.5 marks, and 59% marks will count as 5.9 marks.
6. Marks obtained under grading or CGPA systems will also be converted and counted in the same manner.
7. The merit list will be prepared by counting marks up to three decimal places; digits after the decimal will not be rounded off.
8. If more than one eligible candidate is available in the same category, a merit list will be prepared for all such candidates.
9. If any information, data, or marks entered in the application are found to be incorrect or fabricated, the candidature will be cancelled.
