UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 166 Anganwadi Worker Posts in Barabanki District

The District Program Officer, Barabanki has invited online applications for 166 Anganwadi Karyakatri (Anganwadi Worker) posts under the Integrated Child Development Programme (ICDS) in Uttar Pradesh. These are contract-based posts on honorarium, filled as per Government Order No. /2025/3313/58-1-2025(1917687) dated 17 September 2025, following approval from the District Magistrate. Only female candidates are eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted online at upanganwadibharti.in by 4 August 2026 .

Minimum age: 18 years Maximum age: 35 years Cut-off date for age calculation: 1 July 2026 Age will be determined strictly as per the date of birth recorded in the High School mark sheet/certificate

1. Two women from the same family cannot be appointed to the posts of Anganwadi Karyakatri and Sahayika (helper)
2. One woman cannot apply for more than one center or post
3. Within the same gram sabha/ward (or urban area), preference in appointment is given first to women living below the poverty line; if such women are unavailable, preference moves to widows, and then to legally divorced or deserted women living below the poverty line
4. If no woman living below the poverty line is available in the applicant's own gram sabha/ward, eligible women living below the poverty line from the same category residing above the poverty line follow next in the preference order, then widows and divorced/deserted women above the poverty line, as detailed in the notification
5. Final selection decisions rest with the higher authorities and the selection committee
