TNSTC Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 1518 Graduate, Diploma and Non-Engineering Apprentice Posts

Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation has invited online applications for TNSTC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 for 1,518 apprenticeship training slots across TNSTC regions, Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) Chennai and State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) Tamil Nadu. The opportunities are available for B.E./B.Tech, Diploma and general degree holders such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BBM and BCA who meet the prescribed eligibility conditions. Online applications started on 28 July 2026 and the last date to apply is 28 August 2026. Selected candidates will undergo one year of apprenticeship training and receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,300 for Graduate Apprentices and Rs. 10,900 for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices.

Category Qualification Required Category I - Graduate Apprentice (Engineering) Degree in Engineering/Technology (Regular Full-time) with First Class from a Statutory University, an institution empowered by an Act of Parliament, or a professional body examination recognized as equivalent by the State/Central Government Category II - Technician (Diploma) Apprentice Diploma in Engineering/Technology (Regular Full-time) from a State Council/Board of Technical Education, a University, or an institution recognized as equivalent by the State/Central Government Category III - Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering) Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Humanities (BA/BSc/BCom/BBA/BBM/BCA etc.), Regular Full-time, from a UGC-approved Statutory/Deemed University Qualifying degree/diploma must have been passed during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026, and candidates must hail from Tamil Nadu. Not Eligible: Candidates who have already completed, or are currently undergoing, apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, or who have one year or more of relevant experience, are not eligible to apply.

The age limit will be followed as per the Apprenticeship Rules. Specific minimum/maximum age figures are not specified in the notification.

Rs. 12,300/month (Graduate Apprentices), Rs. 10,900/month (Diploma/Technician Apprentices)

1. Shortlisting will be carried out by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region) based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying/basic prescribed qualification relevant to each discipline.
2. Shortlisted candidates will be notified through their registered email ID.
3. Shortlisted candidates must appear for Certificate Verification at the TNSTC Trichy Region office (tentatively scheduled for the fourth week of September 2026).
4. The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the NATS portal (Home page → Regional Events → BOAT Southern Region → Apprenticeship News).
