Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Recruitment 2026 invites applications for 105 vacancies spread across 12 posts - Assistant Coach, Programmer, Junior Sanitation Supervisor, Junior Assistant, Sales & Service Executive, Storekeeper, Senior Receptionist, Senior Electrician, Chef, Cooking Assistant, Sales & Service Assistant, and Enforcement & Security Guard - at the Shrine Board's offices in Katra, Jammu & Kashmir, under Advertisement No. 05/2026 dated 15 June 2026. Importantly, this is an offline recruitment: there is no online application portal, and applications must physically reach the Shrine Board's Central Office in Katra, by post or in person, on or before 07 July 2026.

SMVDSB has grouped its 12 posts into three pay levels. This section presents the vacancies and qualification requirements post-by-post within each pay band, so candidates can quickly locate the post that matches their qualification. Level-8 Posts (Pay Scale ₹35,600 – ₹1,12,800) Two posts fall under Level-8, both requiring specialised technical or sporting qualifications. Post Vacancies Qualification Required Assistant Coach 1 Diploma in Coaching from NIS Patiala or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university/institution; OR participation in Olympic/Asian Games/World Championship or an equivalent international event; OR a medal winner in Commonwealth Games/National Games/National Championship; OR a Dronacharya Awardee. Coaching experience in the concerned discipline at the national/international level is desirable. Programmer 2 Master's degree in Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology, or B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science or IT from a recognized university; knowledge of programming languages such as C++, JAVA, .NET and MS Office; familiarity with recent programming software; and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in computer hardware and networking, including installation/maintenance of switches, routers, hubs, LAN/WAN, internet leased lines, OFC, Wi-Fi networks, server administration and cyber security. Level-4 Posts (Pay Scale ₹25,500 – ₹81,100) The largest share of vacancies falls under Level-4, covering seven posts that together account for more than half of the total openings in this recruitment. Post Vacancies Qualification Required Junior Sanitation Supervisor 4 Graduation with a Diploma in Sanitation/Public Health, with 2 years of relevant experience. Junior Assistant 8 Graduate with a one-year Diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized institute, or Bachelor's in Computers/Information Technology, with a minimum of 50% marks, a minimum typing speed of 35 w.p.m., and 3 years of experience in a relevant field. Sales & Service Executive 11 Graduation with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification professional experience in catering sales and service at a 3-star facility hotel/restaurant registered with a government department. Storekeeper 8 Graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce with at least 2 years of experience in the stores department of a government or public sector undertaking. Senior Receptionist 8 Graduate with 2 years of experience, a good personality, and the ability to speak English. Senior Electrician 8 Matric with a Diploma from an I.T.I. in the relevant trade and 5 years of experience. Chef 5 Bachelor's in Hotel Management with a minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience at a 3-star facility hotel/restaurant registered with a government department. Among Level-4 posts, Sales & Service Executive carries the highest vacancy count at 11 , while Junior Assistant, Storekeeper and Senior Receptionist each have 8 posts. Level-1 Posts (Pay Scale ₹14,800 – ₹47,100) Three posts fall under the entry-level Level-1 pay scale, including the largest single vacancy block in the entire notice. Enforcement & Security Guard 30 A 10th-pass ex-serviceman with a good record in the Army/Navy/Air Force and a minimum of 15 years of service, or an Agniveer with 4 years of continuous service.
