Sainik School Amaravathinagar (Sainik School Amaravathinagar), under the Sainik Schools Society, Ministry of Defence, Government of India , has released the Sainik School Amaravathinagar Recruitment 2026 Notification on its official website. A total of 8 vacancies have been announced for PGT Maths, PGT English, PGT Physics, TGT Maths, Laboratory Assistant (Physics), Counselor, Band Master, and Art Master posts under regular and contractual appointments.

Eligibility requirements vary by post and cover educational qualification, age limit, and desirable/preferred experience. Full post-wise details are given below. Sainik School Amaravathinagar Educational Qualification - Post Wise Post Essential Qualification Desired Qualification / Requirement PGT - Maths Two years Integrated Post Graduate Course in Maths from Regional Institute of Education (RIE) of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate including B.Ed component; OR Master's Degree in Maths with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University AND B.Ed or equivalent from a recognised University/Institute with at least 50% marks. Proficiency in teaching in English medium is required. Higher qualification in the respective subject; teaching experience at Higher/Secondary level in a CBSE-affiliated English medium residential school; proficiency/achievement in games/sports and other co-curricular activities/hobbies; proficiency in computer application; aptitude for residential school life. PGT - English Two Year Integrated Post Graduate Course in English from RIE of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate including B.Ed component; OR Master's Degree in English with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University AND B.Ed or equivalent from a recognised University/Institute with at least 50% marks. Proficiency in teaching in English medium is required. Same as PGT Maths (higher qualification, CBSE residential teaching experience, games/sports proficiency, computer application, residential school aptitude). PGT - Physics Two years Integrated Post Graduate Course in Physics from RIE of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate; OR Master's Degree in Physics with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University AND B.Ed or equivalent from a recognised University/Institute. Proficiency in teaching in English medium is required. Same as PGT Maths (higher qualification, CBSE residential teaching experience, games/sports proficiency, computer application, residential school aptitude). TGT - Maths Four years Integrated Graduate course in Maths from RIE of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate including B.Ed component; OR Bachelor's Degree in Maths in all three years with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University AND B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognised University/Institute with at least 50% marks. Candidates must also be CTET/STET (Paper-II) qualified (conducted by Central/State Govt) and proficient in teaching in English medium. Higher qualification in respective subject; teaching experience at Higher/Secondary level in CBSE-affiliated English medium residential school; proficiency/achievement in games/sports and extra-curricular activities; proficiency in computer application; aptitude for residential school life. Laboratory Assistant (Physics) Should have passed 12th/Intermediate with Science (Physics) as one of the subjects, or equivalent. Proficiency in teaching in English medium. Higher qualification with Physics as one of the subjects; experience of teaching in a Residential English Medium CBSE school in the concerned subject; good communication skills in English with knowledge of computer applications; proficiency in NCC/games/sports/extra-curricular activities. Counselor Graduate/Post Graduate in Psychology; OR Post Graduate in Child Development; OR Graduate/Post Graduate with Diploma in Career Guidance and Counselling. Attainment in sports; experience of handling children in a residential school preferred. Band Master Potential Band Master/Band Major/Drum Major Course at the AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi; OR Equivalent Naval/Air Force Course. Previous experience in a military training institution/military schools/Sainik schools/boarding schools; PG Diploma in Brass Band conducting; ability to speak English and Hindi/Tamil fluently; achievement in co-curricular/art/sports activities. Art Master Master degree in Fine Art (with Painting specialisation); OR Graduate with Fine Art/Art/Drawing and Painting as one of the subjects with a minimum 4-year Diploma from a recognised Institute/University; OR Higher Secondary/Intermediate/Sr. Sec. School Certificate Examination with a minimum 5-year (full time)/7-year (part time) diploma in Fine Art/Painting/Drawing and Painting from a recognised Institute/University. Previous experience in a military training institution/military schools/Sainik schools/boarding schools; ability to speak English and Hindi/Tamil fluently; achievement in co-curricular/art/sports activities. Sainik School Amaravathinagar Age Limit 2026 Post Age Limit (as on 01 Oct 2026) PGT - Maths / English / Physics 21 to 40 years TGT - Maths 21 to 35 years Laboratory Assistant (Physics) 21 to 35 years Counselor 21 to 50 years Band Master 21 to 50 years (age relaxation of 5 years for Ex-servicemen only) Art Master 21 to 50 years The notification does not specify any age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates other than the Ex-servicemen relaxation mentioned for the Band Master post.

Post Pay PGT - Maths / English / Physics Rs. 47,600/- + DA per month (Level-8, Index-1 in Pay Matrix, as per 7th CPC) TGT - Maths Rs. 44,900/- + DA per month (Level-7, Index-1 in Pay Matrix, as per 7th CPC) Laboratory Assistant (Physics) Rs. 25,500/- + DA per month (Level-4, Index-1 in Pay Matrix, as per 7th CPC) Counselor Rs. 30,000/- consolidated per month (remuneration negotiable for highly deserving candidates with exceptional qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated professional competence) Band Master Rs. 40,000/- consolidated per month Art Master Rs. 25,000/- consolidated per month Perks and Benefits Regular staff are entitled to DA, Transport Allowance, LTC, Contributory Pension as per NPS, subsidised schooling for two children, Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity, and Leave Encashment, as admissible under Sainik Schools Society Rules and Regulations. Appointment is made with an All India transferability clause. Rent-free accommodation is available in the school campus for all posts (Regular and Contractual). Free messing for self with cadets during the academic session is provided for all posts. Terms of Contractual Posts The contractual post will be for a maximum period of 3 years; the total contract duration will not, under any circumstances, exceed 3 years from the date of appointment. On completion of 11 months from the date of joining, the contract may be extended by one year based on performance review and institutional requirement. The contract includes a one-month break every year (after 11 months of service); during school vacation/break, if the contractual staff member is not on active duty, no remuneration is paid. The contract period can be curtailed by the school due to administrative/policy reasons, and the school is not liable to pay any compensation in case of curtailment. After completion of the 3-year contract, a fresh recruitment process would be conducted.
