Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Recruitment 2026 has been announced for Senior Scientific Officer posts! Published on 02-06-2026 at the official website of RPSC, this new recruitment drive offers 03 openings for eligible candidates across Toxicology, Physics, and Ballistics Divisions of the State Forensic Science Laboratory, Jaipur. Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the date of eligibility (01-01-2027). Only candidates with the specified educational qualification and experience for the respective Division are eligible. Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthan Culture is mandatory for all posts. Candidates must mandatorily complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the SSO Portal (https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in) before applying online. Post Educational Qualification & Experience Senior Scientific Officer (Toxicology Division) (a) M.Sc. with at least II nd Division in Chemistry from a University established by law in India, or M.Tech./M.E. with at least II nd Division in field of Chemical Engineering from a University established by law in India, or M.Sc. with at least II nd Division in Forensic Science with specialisation in Forensic Chemistry/Toxicology/Narcotics (in III or IV Semester/specialisation course of minimum six months duration) and Chemistry/Forensic Chemistry as one of the subject in Bachelor of Science level from a University established by law in India; and (b) Certificate/Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Application or Degree with at least one subject as Computer Science/Computer Application from a University established by law in India or an institution recognized by the Government, or 'O' level or higher level Certificate Course by NIELIT (erstwhile DOEACC Society), New Delhi; and (c) Two years' experience of working in a F.S.L. of a State or Central Government or similar experience in public undertaking or corporation. Senior Scientific Officer (Physics Division) (a) M.Sc. with at least II nd Division in Physics from University established by law in India, or M.Tech./M.E. with at least II nd Division in fields of Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a University established by law in India, or M.Sc. with at least II nd Division in Forensic Science with specialisation in Forensic Physics/Physical Science (in III or IV Semester/specialisation course of minimum six months duration) and Physics/Physical science as one of the subject in Bachelor of Science level from a University established by law in India; and (b) Certificate/Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Application or Degree with at least one subject as Computer Science/Computer Application from a University established by law in India or an institution recognized by the Government, or 'O' level or higher level Certificate Course by NIELIT (erstwhile DOEACC Society), New Delhi; and (c) Two years' experience of working in a F.S.L. of a State or Central Government or similar experience in public undertaking or corporation. Senior Scientific Officer (Ballistics Division) (a) M.Sc. with at least II nd Division in Physics/Mathematics from a University established by law in India, or M.Sc. with at least II nd Division in Forensic Science with specialisation in Forensic Ballistics (in III or IV Semester/specialisation course of minimum six months duration) and Physical Science/Physics or Mathematics as one of the major subject in Bachelor of Science level from a University established by law in India; and (b) Certificate/Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Application or Degree with at least one subject as Computer Science/Computer Application from a University established by law in India or an institution recognized by the Government, or 'O' level or higher level Certificate Course by NIELIT (erstwhile DOEACC Society), New Delhi; and (c) Two years' experience of working in a F.S.L. of a State or Central Government or similar experience in public undertaking or corporation.
