RailTel Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 40 Graduate Engineer, Diploma Engineer Posts

RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has released the RailTel Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification (No. RCIL/2024/P&A/27/1, dated 28.07.2026) inviting applications for engagement as apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This RailTel Apprentice Vacancy 2026 drive covers 40 posts across Graduate Engineer and Diploma Engineer categories at locations across India.

Applicants must satisfy the qualification, experience and age conditions listed below to be considered for RailTel Apprentice Recruitment 2026. RailTel Apprentice Qualification Post Qualification Required Graduate Engineer Apprentice Full-time regular 4-year Graduation in Engineering/Technology from an AICTE-approved college, with an aggregate of 60% marks, in Electronics & Telecommunication; or Telecommunication; or Computer Science & Engineering/Information Technology; or Electrical Engineering; or Electronics Engineering; or any combination of engineering branches where Electronics is one of the main branches (such as Electronics & Instrumentation) - OR passed Sections A and B of the Institution of Engineers (India) examinations in the above relevant branches - OR passed the Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) in the above relevant branches. Diploma Engineer Apprentice Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology from an AICTE-approved college, with an aggregate of 60% marks, in the same branches listed above. Candidates who obtained their qualification through distance learning or part-time mode are not eligible to apply. RailTel Apprentice Experience Condition Any engineering graduate or diploma holder who has undergone, or possesses, training or job/work experience of one year or more after attaining the qualification mentioned above is not eligible. Candidates who completed their graduation or diploma more than three years ago will also not be considered for this apprenticeship. Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship, terminated one midway, or are currently pursuing an apprenticeship with another organization are not eligible either. Selected candidates will receive a monthly consolidated stipend for the one-year apprenticeship period, shared between RailTel and the Government of India (DBT share), as shown below. No other benefit, facility, or allowance is payable apart from this consolidated stipend. 1. A merit list will be prepared region/state/location-wise on receipt of online applications, with preference given to Government Institution pass-outs.
2. Shortlisting will be done based on the merit list prepared using marks obtained in the required qualification (minimum eligibility), and/or through an interview as required.
3. Only candidates found medically fit as per RailTel's norms will be considered for engagement.
