Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Metropolitan Surveillance Unit (MSU) Recruitment 2026 Notification has been released on 28 August 2026 on the official website of Pune Municipal Corporation. A total of 8 vacancies have been announced through the PMC Recruitment 2026 for Senior Public Health Specialist, Microbiologist, Veterinary Officer, Technical Assistant, Entomologist, Technical Officer (IT) and Data Analyst posts on a contractual basis.

MBBS (recognized by MCI) with MD in PSM/Community Medicine, MD (CHA), or MD (Tropical Medicine), or DNB in Social and Preventive Medicine/Community Medicine. | MBBS (recognized by MCI) with an EIS (Epidemic Intelligence Service) Training Course Certificate. | BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BPT/B.Sc. in Life Sciences (Nursing, Biology, Microbiology, Developmental Biology and Physiology) with an MPH (Epidemiology) or DPH (Epidemiology); OR a Master in Applied Epidemiology (MAE) plus two years of Public Health experience; OR a PhD in Clinical Sciences, Medical Science, Preventive Medicine, Human Physiology, Pathophysiology or Epidemiology. | MBBS with MD/DNB in Medical Microbiology or Lab Medicine, recognized by MCI/DNB. | M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Sciences with a PhD in the same or related field. | A postgraduate degree in IT/Computer Science such as M.Tech, MBA (IT), MCA, or M.Sc. (CS/IT). | A graduate degree in IT/Computer Science such as B.E., B.Tech, BIT, or BCA.

1. Applications submitted with self-attested documents are scrutinized by the Health Department.
2. Eligible and ineligible candidates are notified from time to time on the PMC website (https://www.pmc.gov.in).
3. A merit list is prepared according to the number of applications received, and selection is made on the basis of qualification and experience; preference is given to candidates with more experience and higher educational qualification, though the final decision rests with the administration.
4. The decision of the selection committee is final, and the final merit list remains valid for 1 year.
5. Selected candidates are required to execute an agreement on a Rs. 500 bond paper.
