PGIMER Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 60 MTS, Pharmacist and More Posts

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, has released Advertisement No. PGI/RC/053/2026/2192, dated 1 September 2026, inviting online applications from Indian citizens for 57 Group "C" posts at PGIMER, Chandigarh, and 3 posts of Group "A", "B" & "C" for the PGI Satellite Centre, Sangrur, Punjab, on a direct recruitment basis.

Post Pay Scale (7th CPC) Essential Qualification/Experience Medical Officer Level-10 (₹56,100–₹1,77,500) A medical qualification included in Schedule I/II or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (with the Section 13(3) condition where applicable); registration with the State Medical Council; special training in Family Planning & Educational methods. Preference to a postgraduate degree/diploma in the relevant speciality. Computer Programmer Level-7 (₹44,900–₹1,42,400) Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematics (with Statistics)/Operation Research/Physics, or a degree in Engineering/Computer Science, plus 1 year's experience of actual programming/operation of an electronic computer; OR a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (with Statistics)/Physics/Statistics plus 7 years' experience of computer operation including actual programming. Desirable: formal training in programming/system design/analysis, and knowledge of one or more programming languages. Pharmacist Grade-II Level-5 (₹29,200–₹92,300) Matriculation or equivalent; Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised institution/board; must be a registered Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948. Desirable: a Degree in Pharmacy, and experience in dispensing/storage of drugs in a reputed hospital or pharmaceutical concern. Library Attendant Grade-I Level-3 (₹21,700–₹69,100) Matric with Science; Diploma in Library Science; one year's experience handling books & journals in a library of repute. Animal Attendant Level-1 (₹18,000–₹56,900) Matriculation or equivalent; ability to read and write in Hindi/English/Punjabi; knowledge of cleaning & dusting. Desirable: 1 year's experience in a Civil/Military Hospital or 3 years in a good household/Government Department. Barber Level-1 (₹18,000–₹56,900) Matriculation, with at least 2 years' experience in the line. Multi Tasking Staff (Sanitation) Grade-III Level-1 (₹18,000–₹56,900) Matriculation or equivalent; knowledge of sweeping, dusting, and cleaning. Desirable: 1 year's experience in sweeping/dusting/cleaning in a Civil/Military Hospital, good hostel, or government department. Diplomas/degrees obtained through Open and Distance Learning mode are accepted only if recognised by the University Grants Commission for the relevant period in which the qualification was acquired.

The upper age limit is determined as on the last date of submission of the online application (19.10.2026), based on the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate.
