OUAT Assistant Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 31 Posts

The Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar has invited applications for the post of Assistant on a contractual basis in various Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) functioning under the university. The recruitment is notified vide Advertisement No. E-II-II/02/2019 (Part)/10984/UAT, dated 13th July 2026, and is a revision to the earlier advertisement No. 1354/UAT dated 22.01.2019. A total of 31 vacancies are available, and eligible candidates can apply offline before the last date.

Essential qualification: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university. | Candidates must specifically indicate the percentage of marks obtained (calculated to the nearest two decimals) in the relevant column of the application form. | Candidates must produce a certificate/document issued by the university evidencing the conversion formula (e.g., CGPA to percentage), if called for document verification.

The Assistant post carries the following pay scale as per the notification: Level-9, Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400/- (as per 7th Pay Commission) Or, PB-2, Pay Rs. 9,300 - 34,800/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 4,200/- (pre-revised Pay Band and Grade Pay under 6th CPC) Or, as prescribed by the funding agency (ICAR) from time to time The notification clarifies that the pay and pay scale are subject to change based on revisions notified/communicated by ICAR or other funding agencies, applicable prospectively.

1. The candidate securing more marks in the written test is ranked higher.
2. If written test marks are equal, the candidate senior in age is ranked higher.
3. If both (a) and (b) are equal, the tie is resolved based on the percentage of marks secured in the Degree programme.
