The Office of the Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Assam, has released an advertisement (No. NHM-31013(11)/5/2025-HRD-NHM, ECF: 678091, dated 29.07.2026) inviting online applications for engagement of Staff Nurses on contractual basis, for candidates willing to work in mission mode. NHM Assam Staff Nurse Qualification Candidates must have passed a B.Sc. Nursing or GNM Course from any nursing school/institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, and must be registered with the Assam Nurses' Midwives' and Health Visitors' Council. NHM Assam Staff Nurse Age Limit The upper age limit is 40 years, as on 01.01.2026, with the following category-wise relaxation and maximum age. Category Maximum Age (Years) Open Category (UR) 40 OBC/MOBC 43 SC/ST(P)/ST(H) 45 PWD 50 Age relaxation applied: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC/MOBC candidates get 3 years, and PWD candidates get 10 years over the base limit of 40 years. The age of candidates will be calculated based on the Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card or Pass Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council - no other document will be accepted for this purpose.
