NFSU Software Technical Consultant Recruitment 2026 has been announced by the Centre for Futuristic Defence Studies (CFDS), National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, to fill one contractual position under the Wargaming Simulator System (WGS) Project for the Embassy of India, Algeria. The selected candidate will be engaged for 12 months, extendable based on project requirements, at a consolidated professional service charge of ₹1,30,000 per month. B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, GIS, Geoinformatics, Artificial Intelligence, Defence Technology, or an equivalent discipline from a recognized University/Institute. | OR MCA/M.Sc. (Computer Science/GIS/Geoinformatics/Artificial Intelligence/Data Science/Remote Sensing) with relevant professional experience. | Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in software development, enterprise GIS integration, modelling & simulation, defence applications, or command and control systems. | Experience in software architecture, enterprise application integration, and system deployment. | Experience in managing multidisciplinary software development teams and coordinating with stakeholders. | Experience in API integration, client-server architecture, web technologies, and enterprise software solutions. | Experience in Defence, Armed Forces, DRDO, DPSUs, Government Strategic Projects, Aerospace, or National Security Projects. | Prior experience in Wargaming, Mission Planning Systems, Command & Control Systems, Defence Simulation, Digital Twin, Battlefield Management Systems, or Operational Decision Support Systems. | Hands-on experience with LuciadLightspeed, LuciadRIA, LuciadFusion, Hexagon GIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Enterprise, CARPET, EXDAM, or equivalent enterprise GIS and simulation platforms. | Experience integrating GIS, Radar, Sensors, Tactical Data, Terrain Databases, Weather Systems, Weapon Models, and Operational Analysis Systems. | Knowledge of Military Standards, Defence Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Systems Engineering, and the Defence Procurement Environment. | Experience in international or multinational defence software projects. | Knowledge of C++, Java, C#, Python, REST APIs, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and enterprise databases.

The selected candidate for the Software Technical Consultant post will receive a consolidated professional service charge of ₹1,30,000 per month. This is a fixed monthly rate and the notice does not indicate any additional allowances.
