NCL PMIS Intern Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 73 Posts

Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna Public Sector Undertaking and a subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has invited online applications for engagement as Interns under Round 3 of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) for the financial year 2026-27. NCL has notified 73 unfulfilled vacancies across six discipline/trade combinations, including Foreman, Lab Technician, Clerk, Pharmacist, and Overseer. Eligible candidates aged 18 to 25 years, holding the relevant diploma or degree, can apply exclusively online through the PMIS portal by 06-09-2026. The internship carries a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 and a duration of 9 months, and does not lead to regular employment with NCL or Coal India Limited.

Applying candidates must have completed and passed the prescribed qualifying degree or diploma (as listed in the vacancy table) from a recognized institute or university functional as of the crucial date, 01 April 2026.

1. Merit lists will be prepared by arranging the aggregate percentage scores of the qualifying examination (degree/diploma) in descending order, separately for each discipline.
2. Tie-breaking criteria: candidates older in age (earlier date of birth) will be preferred; if a tie persists, candidates whose names appear first alphabetically in English (Roman script) will be preferred.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for document verification through the PMIS portal and the NCL official website.
