Meghalaya Civil Secretariat Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 153 Peon, Chowkidar and More Posts

The Government of Meghalaya, Secretariat Administration Department (Nazarat), has released Advertisement No. SAN.66/2019/89, dated 17 August 2026, inviting applications from Indian citizens for Grade IV posts in the Meghalaya Civil Secretariat, at Level-1 of the pay matrix plus usual allowances. The posts on offer are Peon, Cleaner, Sweeper, Chowkidar, and Mali.

Applications are invited only from Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution. Post Educational Qualification Peon, Cleaner, Sweeper, Chowkidar, Mali Class VI Passed

Candidates should not be more than 32 years of age and not less than 18 years of age, as on 1 January 2026 . The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for Scheduled Tribes/Scheduled Castes candidates. The upper age limit for PWD candidates is as per Office Memorandum No.PER(AR)150/88/560 dated 18.01.2023. Date of birth is accepted only as per a certificate issued by the Municipal Board/Department of Health & Family Welfare/School Certificate/H.S.L.C. Admit Card; no other proof of age is accepted.
