MECL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online

Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL), a Mini-Ratna-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has invited online applications for 13 Executive Trainee posts in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines. This recruitment is conducted through the UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2024 score, for candidates who cleared the written round and appeared for the ESE 2024 interview but were not recommended for final selection by UPSC. Online registration opens on 1 August 2026 and closes on 14 August 2026, through the MECL Recruitment Portal at www.mecl.co.in. Eligible candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech in the relevant Electrical or Mechanical discipline with a minimum of 60% marks, and the maximum age limit is 28 years (UR) as on the crucial date of 1 August 2026. Selected candidates will be posted at MECL projects and offices across India.

Candidates applying for the MECL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2026 must meet the educational qualification and age limit given below, and must also have cleared the written round of UPSC ESE 2024, appeared for the ESE 2024 interview, and consented to sharing their score information on UPSC's website, without having been recommended for final selection. MECL Executive Trainee Qualification Post Essential Educational Qualification Executive Trainee (Electrical) Minimum 60% marks in B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent (courses approved by UGC & AICTE wherever applicable; ODL degrees not permissible) Executive Trainee (Mechanical) – all divisions Minimum 60% marks in B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (courses approved by UGC & AICTE wherever applicable; ODL degrees not permissible) No minimum post-qualification experience is required for any of the four posts (NIL). 1. Applicant lists will be prepared in decreasing order of marks (out of 1200) scored in UPSC ESE 2024, category-wise, for the Mechanical/Electrical discipline.
2. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on the UPSC ESE 2024 score and other eligibility criteria, as per MECL's extant Recruitment Rules.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Document Verification round.
4. If documents are found suitable and matching the advertisement criteria, offers of employment will be issued.
