Essential Qualification: MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/DNB/Diploma or Post Doctoral Degree (or equivalent) in the concerned specialty from an NMC/MCI recognized university/institute, and preferably valid DMC registration for the concerned specialty/super-specialty. | The tenure of the PG Degree/DNB/Diploma or Post Doctoral Degree (or equivalent) must be completed, and the result must also be declared, before the date of interview. | Non-PG candidates: If an applicant does not hold the above qualification, they will be treated as a Non-PG Senior Resident and may be appointed for 44 days or till these posts are filled with a suitable PG-qualified candidate, whichever is earlier. | In specialties with a perpetual shortage of fresh candidates, candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency but are willing to continue serving as Senior Residents will also be allowed to appear. | Separate merit lists will be prepared - one for fresh candidates and one for those who have completed 3 years of residency. | The list of fresh candidates will be exhausted first for appointment; the second list will be taken up only thereafter. | Appointments made from the second list will be for a maximum period of one year only, and it is not renewable further after expiry of one year.

The notice (F.No.17773 (Part-I)/SR interview/E-I/LNH/2026, dated 22.07.2026) invites eligible Indian Nationals to appear for a walk-in interview against 55 vacancies spread across 15 departments. Pay and allowances
Selected Senior Residents will be paid as per 7th CPC, Pay Matrix Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 208,700), along with other usual allowances admissible per month as per rules.

Selection process
- The mode of selection is through interview only.
- No waiting list will be prepared; only a rank list will be prepared for this interview, which will remain valid till the next interview notice is published.
- If the number of applications is very high, the interview may continue on the next working day. This will be informed verbally to candidates by the Board Members on the date of interview at closing time. Candidates who are not interviewed on the said date must not leave the venue without the knowledge of the Board Members - no separate communication will be made in this regard.
