Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the last date of submission of application i.e. 20-06-2026. Candidates of Veterinary Science must possess and upload a valid registration of Karnataka Veterinary Council / Veterinary Council of India. Separate applications must be submitted for different positions. Knowledge of Kannada is mandatory for all posts - candidates who did not study Kannada at SSLC level must qualify a Kannada language test (max 150 marks, minimum 50% to qualify; standard of first language Kannada at SSLC level) before being called for interview. Post Essential Qualifications Experience Required Professor (Rs. 1,44,200–2,18,200) 1. Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science / Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry / Dairy Science / Fisheries Science in concerned discipline from SAU/SVU/Deemed University or recognized university. 2. Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA in concerned/allied subject. 3. Ph.D. degree in concerned/Allied Subject as notified by the university with published work of high quality - minimum 10 research publications in NAAS rated/UGC listed journals. 4. Knowledge of Kannada mandatory. 5. Minimum score as stipulated in prescribed score card. Minimum 10 years of Teaching/Research/Extension experience in University/College as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor and/or research at equivalent level; out of which 2 years in the cadre of Associate Professor (pay band Rs. 1,31,400–2,17,100) is mandatory. Associate Professor (Rs. 1,31,400–2,17,100) 1. Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science/Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry/Dairy Science/Fisheries Science of respective discipline from SAU/SVU/Deemed University or recognized university. 2. Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA in concerned/allied subject. 3. Ph.D. degree in concerned/Allied Subject as notified by the university with good academic record. 4. Knowledge of Kannada mandatory. 5. Minimum score as stipulated in prescribed score card. Minimum 8 years of teaching and/or research and/or extension in academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor (pay band Rs. 57,700–1,82,400) with minimum 7 publications in NAAS rated/UGC listed Journals. Assistant Professor (Rs. 57,700–1,82,400) 1. Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science/Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry/Dairy Science/Fisheries Science of respective discipline from SAU/SVU/Deemed University or recognized university. 2. Master's degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) or equivalent CGPA in concerned/Allied subject as notified by university. 3. Must have cleared NET in concerned subject conducted by UGC/ICAR/CSIR, or similar test accredited by UGC (SLET/SET); OR awarded a Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 with NET exemption. 4. Knowledge of Kannada mandatory. 5. Age limit applicable (see Age Limit section). No specific minimum experience required; however, NET/Ph.D. qualifications must be fulfilled. (MSVE 2016 Regulations: Preference shall be given to candidates who have qualified NET conducted by Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board for Veterinary Science subjects.) NET Exemptions for Assistant Professor: Condition Details Subjects where NET not conducted NET is exempted for Master's degree programmers where NET is not conducted by ICAR/UGC/CSIR/SLET/SET in the concerned/Allied subjects as notified by the university. Foreign University Ph.D. (Top 500 in World Ranking) NET is exempted for those who obtained Ph.D. degree from a foreign University/Institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking - subject to conditions as per Govt. Order No.AHF113 VET 2018/Bangalore dated 16.3.2019. Ph.D. Registered prior to July 11, 2009 Exempted from NET/SLET/SET subject to fulfillment of conditions: (a) Ph.D. awarded in regular mode; (b) Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners; (c) Ph.D. viva voce conducted; (d) Two research papers published from Ph.D. work (at least one in a referred journal); (e) At least two papers presented in UGC/ICAR/ICSSR/CSIR sponsored conferences. These conditions must be certified by the Registrar or Dean of the concerned University - mandatory certification.
