KPSC Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 68 Assistant Controller, Audit Officer Posts

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has released a notification (No. KPSCKA/EXA2/PRSL/10/2026-EXAM2/251 dated 27-08-2026) inviting online applications for 68 Residual Parent Cadre (RPC) posts of Assistant Controller (Group A) and Audit Officer (Group B) in the Karnataka State Audit & Accounts Department. The recruitment follows the Karnataka Civil Services (Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2011, the Karnataka State Audit and Accounts Department Services (Recruitment) Rules, 2015 (as amended in 2023), and the competitive examination will be conducted as per the Karnataka Gazetted Probationers (Recruitment through Competitive Examinations) Rules, 1997. Online applications open on 28-08-2026 and close on 26-09-2026, with the Preliminary Examination tentatively scheduled for 06-12-2026.

The age limit is fixed as per the Karnataka Gazetted Probationers (Recruitment through Competitive Examinations) Rules, 1997. With this relaxation, the applicable maximum age limits for this notification are as follows: Category Minimum Age Maximum Age (with one-time relaxation) General Merit 21 years 40 years Category 2A/2B/3A/3B 21 years 43 years SC/ST/Category-1 21 years 45 years Age is reckoned as on the last date fixed for submission of applications. Additional age relaxation is also available to Ex-servicemen (up to 3 years plus service rendered, subject to a maximum of 10 years), Persons with Disabilities (10 years), and widows (10 years, subject to the prescribed conditions), as specified in the notification.
