JKSSB Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 357 Draftsman and Works Supervisor Posts

JKSSB Recruitment 2026 notification has been released by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) for 357 Divisional Cadre posts of Draftsman (Civil) and Works Supervisor under the Public Works (R&B) Department. This is a Notification Released stage recruitment, with online applications set to open on 01.08.2026 and close on 30.08.2026, as per Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2026 dated 06.07.2026. This single notification covers two distinct posts across the Jammu and Kashmir Divisions, and this article explains both in detail.

Domicile Candidates must be Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format, valid on or before the cut-off date of 30.08.2026. Educational Qualification Post Name Qualification Required Draftsman (Civil) Two-Year Draftsman Training Course Certificate/ Diploma from any Government recognized institute Works Supervisor Matriculation Examination pass or its equivalent, along with an ITI Certificate in Building Construction or Carpentry Trade issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Technical Education (JKBOTE) or the Director General of Training, Government of India Candidates shortlisted for Document Verification must produce original certificates proving their qualification was obtained strictly on or before the cut-off date.

Age is reckoned as on 01.01.2026 for all categories. If the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than 3 years, the candidate is deemed to satisfy the age condition. No candidate under any category should be born after 01.01.2008.

1. The examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions set in English language only.
2. There will be negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to each wrong answer.
3. The syllabus for the posts will be notified separately on the official JKSSB website.
4. Candidature at the examination stage is provisional; ineligible candidates identified later will not proceed to subsequent stages.
5. Shortlisted candidates will then undergo Document Verification (DV) with original certificates.
