Qualification

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has released Notification No. 05-PSC(DR-P) OF 2026, dated 31-07-2026, inviting online applications for 205 posts of Assistant Professor (across 29 disciplines), College Director of Physical Education & Sports, and Librarian in Government Degree Colleges under the Higher Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir. Only domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to apply.

Selection process
- Selection is made as per Rule 45 of the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 2021, as amended.
- There will be a written examination consisting of a single paper of 3 hours' duration with 120 multiple-choice questions. The syllabus is available on the JKPSC official website.
- The syllabus for the post of College Director of Physical Education & Sports will be notified separately.
- The examination will be held at Srinagar and Jammu centres; candidates must indicate their preferred centre, and centre allotment is at the sole discretion of the Commission.
