India Ship Technology Centre (ISTC) Recruitment Notification 2026 has been released on 25/08/2026 on the official website istcindia.org. A total of 9 vacancies have been announced through the ISTC Recruitment 2026 for various Executive-level posts on a contract basis.

ISTC Recruitment 2026 eligibility is defined separately for each post in terms of educational qualification and managerial experience. The minimum qualification for all posts must be from an Institute/Examination Board recognised by AICTE/appropriate statutory authority/State/Central Government. Candidates with equivalent qualifications must submit an Equivalency Certificate issued by a competent authority. ISTC Engineering Manager Eligibility Qualification: Degree in Naval Architecture Engineering/Marine Engineering/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University. Experience: 15 years of managerial experience in Ship design/Shipyard/R&D organisation, of which 5 years shall be as in charge of the section or department, along with a proven track record of managing shipbuilding or maritime projects. ISTC Lead Engineer (R&D) Eligibility Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Naval Architecture Engineering/Marine Engineering from a recognized University. Experience: 12 years of managerial experience in Ship design/Shipyard/R&D organisations, including at least 4 years managing large projects or R&D in Commercial or Defence Shipbuilding/Maritime sectors. ISTC Manager (Training & Skill Development) Eligibility Qualification: Degree in Naval Architecture Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Marine Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Production Engineering from a recognized University (Master's Degree in Engineering or MBA desirable). Experience: Seven years of managerial experience in the maritime/shipbuilding sector; preference to candidates with at least 2 years of experience in training, skilling or capacity building roles. ISTC Assistant Manager (Technical) Eligibility Qualification: Degree in Naval Architecture Engineering/Marine Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a recognised University. Experience: Three years of managerial experience in a Ship Building Company, Ship Repair Company, Marine-related Company, Port, Engineering Company, Government/Semi-Government Company or Establishment, Ship Design firm, or R&D organisation. ISTC Assistant Manager (Information Technology) Eligibility Qualification: Engineering Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Computer Application/Information Technology from a recognized University. Experience: Three years of managerial experience in installation and maintenance of servers, storage devices and networking equipment, and system installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting in a Shipyard, Port, Engineering Company, Government Undertaking, PSU, Private Sector Company, Bank, or Autonomous Body. ISTC Executive (Finance) Eligibility Qualification: Pass in the intermediate examination of ICAI/Institute of Cost Accountants of India/M.Com/MBA (Finance). Experience: One year of managerial experience in financial matters such as Budgeting, Costing, Banking, Taxation, Finalisation of Accounts, Audit-related matters, Financial Concurrence in procurements, or Compliance in a PSU, Commercial organisation, Engineering Company, or Government/Semi-Government Company/Establishment. ISTC Executive (HR & Administration) Eligibility Qualification: Two-year Master's Degree/equivalent Degree/Diploma/Post Graduate Degree with specialization in HR (e.g., MBA-HR) or Post Graduate Degree in Personnel Management. Experience: Minimum one year of managerial experience in Human Resource/Administration in a PSU, Engineering Company, Government/Semi-Government Company/Establishment, or Private Sector organisation. Note: For candidates working in PSUs/Government/Autonomous bodies in the regular cadre, one year of experience shall be in the immediate lower scale of pay or equivalent, as detailed in the official notification. Post-qualification experience is reckoned as on 18 September 2026.

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly pay as per the post, with an annual increase of 3% on the monthly pay. The place of posting for all selected candidates is ISTC, Kochi.

1. For all posts, selection is through a Personal Interview.
2. For posts at Sl. No. 4 to 7 (Assistant Manager Technical, Assistant Manager IT, Executive Finance, Executive HR & Administration), the selection process shall also include a Written Test, depending on the number of applications, as decided by ISTC.
3. ISTC may scrutinise applications and shortlist candidates based on eligibility ascertained through uploaded certificates; only shortlisted candidates shall be permitted to attend the selection process.
4. Only candidates who successfully complete certificate verification shall be shortlisted for the Personal Interview.
5. Rank lists shall be prepared based on aggregate marks in the Written Test (where applicable) and Personal Interview. In case of a tie, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in age.
