10+2 qualified in any stream, or equivalent examination

Candidates must be between 17½ and 25 years of age as on the date of commencement of the course. Candidates should have been born between 01 September 2001 and 28 February 2009 (both dates inclusive).

1. Deserving candidates would be called to appear for trials at designated Naval Centres.
2. Candidates qualifying trials will undergo medical examination at INS Hamla, Mumbai/INS India, Delhi.
3. The Offer of Enrolment will be forwarded to the selected candidates only, which will be strictly determined by requirement in the particular sports discipline and availability of vacancies.
4. Requests for change of venue of selection trials will not be entertained. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
5. Short-listing criteria will be based on higher sports achievements.
6. Call-up letters will be posted to eligible shortlisted candidates, indicating date, time, and place for the selection trial.
7. All original certificates and mark sheets must be produced at the time of the selection trial.
8. Candidates declared Medically Temporary Unfit in the recruitment medical examination can avail a specialist review from the specified Military Hospital within a maximum period of 21 days - no further review/appeal is permissible.
9. Candidates declared Medically Permanent Unfit can appeal for a Specialist opinion at a Military Hospital within 21 days, on payment of ₹40 by Military Receivable Order (MRO) on Government Treasury. A medical fitness certificate other than one from the designated Military Hospital's specialist opinion will not be considered; no further review/appeal is permissible.
10. The select list will be prepared from candidates who qualify in all respects, depending on the available vacancies in the particular sports discipline.
11. The candidature of selected candidates is valid for the current batch only.
12. All select-listed candidates will be forwarded a Police Verification form along with the Offer of Enrolment, and must submit the same to INS Hamla at the time of enrolment after getting their antecedents verified from the concerned district police authorities. Candidates without a verified police verification report will not be eligible for enrolment.
13. No enquiry will be entertained regarding recruitment/enrolment after a period of six months.
