Qualification

Candidates must fulfil all eligibility conditions as on the cut-off date. Only unmarried Indian male candidates are eligible to apply. All qualifications must be from AICTE-recognised Polytechnic Institutes. Agniveer (Apprentice) - Engineering & Electrical Streams Criteria Details Essential Educational Qualification Passed Matriculation Examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India AND completed a 3-year Diploma course from an AICTE-recognised Polytechnic Institute with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in any of the qualifying diploma trades (Engineering or Electrical as applicable). Marital Status Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Candidates must give a certificate of being 'unmarried' at the time of enrolment. Agniveers will not be permitted to marry during their entire 4-year tenure. A candidate will be dismissed from service if he marries during tenure or is found to be already married despite giving an unmarried certificate. Nationality Indian male citizens only. Preferential Proficiency in sports, swimming, and extra-curricular activities is desirable.
