Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not guarantee shortlisting for Teaching & Research Seminar and/or Personal Interview. | Criteria Details Citizenship Candidate must be an Indian National. Educational Qualification Ph.D. in relevant/equivalent discipline from a recognized University/Institute with First Class in all preceding degrees (bachelor's degree onwards). Candidates obtaining Ph.D. directly after B.E./B.Tech. are eligible. Experience Varies by post as prescribed. More than 6 months of experience in a regular position with a pay scale is necessary to be considered as work experience. Part-time, daily wage, visiting, guest, or temporary faculty experience will not be counted. OBC Status Only OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates are eligible for reservation benefits. OBC (NCL) certificate must be issued on or after April 1, 2026. PwD Eligibility Reservation for PwD is applicable as per Central Government Rules. Ph.D. from IIEST Shibpur Candidates whose most recent degree (Ph.D.) is from IIEST Shibpur will not be considered unless there is a gap of at least 3 years between leaving the Institute and the last date of submission of online application. Government Employees Candidates employed in Government Departments, Public Sector Enterprises, or Autonomous Bodies must forward their application through proper channel or submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview.
