Age relaxation for existing HNBGU employees follows Clause 32(a) of the University's Cadre Recruitment Rules. Reserved-category candidates applying for an Unreserved (UR) post are not entitled to any age or marks relaxation.

1. Applications are scrutinized by a Screening Committee, which prepares a list of eligible/not-eligible candidates based on its own guidelines/criteria.
2. No interview will be held for Group 'B' and Group 'C' posts carrying Grade Pay of ₹4,600 or less, as per MHRD letter No. 19-50/2015-Desk-U dated 22.12.2015 — this applies to all 12 posts in this notification.
3. The University reserves the right to conduct a written test/skill test for any post, as per its Cadre Recruitment Rules, if it deems fit.
4. Where prescribed (Private Secretary, Personal Assistant), a computer-based skill test in stenography and typing will be conducted as per the norms listed under Eligibility.
5. Selection Committee decides its own method for evaluating candidate performance, wherever applicable.
6. A reserve panel/waiting list may be drawn up, valid for one year from the selection committee's decision, and may be used for consequential/new vacancies.
