The upper age limit is 28 years as on 31.07.2027 (candidates should have been born on or after 01.08.1999). Only Indian Nationals of age 18 years or above are eligible to apply for GRID-INDIA. Reservation, relaxation, and concession for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Victims of riots shall be as per Government of India directives, and are subject to submission of the relevant certificate in the prescribed format at the time of interview. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant benchmark disability shall only be eligible for the PwBD benefit.

Selected candidates will be placed at E2 level in the pay scale of Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000/- IDA for a period of one year during On-The-Job Training (OJT), along with other applicable allowances and benefits. Upon successful completion of training, Executive Trainees will be regularized at E2 level in the same pay scale of Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000/- IDA. The training period may be extended based on performance evaluation or at the discretion of the Management. Upon regularization, the compensation package will also include Performance Related Pay, Company Leased Accommodation/Company Quarters or HRA, reimbursement of monthly conveyance expenditure, mobile facility, Group Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance, PF, Gratuity, Pension, Leave encashment, and other allowances and benefits as applicable. The Corporation also offers short and long-term Loans & Advances, including House Building Advance, and medical facilities for self and dependents. GRID-INDIA Executive Trainee Service Agreement Bond Selected Executive Trainees must execute a service agreement bond to successfully complete the prescribed training period and thereafter serve the organization for at least three years. The bond amount is Rs. 5,00,000/- for General/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates and Rs. 2,50,000/- for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

1. GATE 2027: Eligible candidates must appear in the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper or Computer Science and Information Technology (CS) paper of GATE 2027 and qualify as per marks declared by the GATE 2027 Organizing Institute.
2. Shortlisting for GD/PI: Qualified candidates shall be shortlisted category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks (out of 100) in the corresponding GATE 2027 paper. Status can be checked via candidate login on GRID-INDIA's Online Application System.
3. Behavioral Assessment: Candidates shortlisted for GD and PI may also have to undergo a Behavioral Assessment; its results are used only as an input during the interview and carry no qualifying marks.
4. Group Discussion: GD carries no qualifying marks, but is mandatory to attend.
5. Personal Interview: It is mandatory to appear in and qualify the Personal Interview for final shortlisting/empanelment.
