The age limit does not apply to existing GMRCL employees, except officials re-employed after superannuation.

The revised IDA pay scales range from ₹35,000–1,10,000 for Engineer – Senior Grade to ₹1,00,000–2,60,000 for Additional General Manager. Additional General Manager post-superannuation pay: ₹1,45,000 per month. Joint General Manager post-superannuation pay: ₹1,45,000 per month. Deputy General Manager post-superannuation pay: ₹1,00,000 per month. Deputation pay and benefits will be governed by the applicable terms and conditions. Other benefits, group medical coverage and group personal accident insurance may be provided according to GMRC policy.
