GMC Nalgonda Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 57 Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and More Posts

Government Medical College, Nalgonda (GMC Nalgonda), functioning under the Director of Medical Education (DME), Telangana State, has released a notification for contract recruitment to 57 faculty and medical officer posts. The posts on offer are Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Tutor, and Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS), spread across 12 departments at the college and its attached Government General Hospital. Eligible candidates - MBBS/MD/MS/DNB holders registered with the Telangana State Medical Council - can apply by submitting a physical application at the Principal's office between 05-09-2026 and 10-09-2026 (up to 2:00 PM). This is an offline application process; there is no online apply portal mentioned in the notification.

Eligibility differs by post, covering academic qualification, teaching/research experience, and medical council registration. Post Qualification Experience Requirement Registration Associate Professor MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject, as per TEQ Regulation of NMC – 2022 5 years post-PG experience, including 4 years as Assistant Professor in the subject at a permitted/recognized medical college; at least 2 research publications in Medline/PubMed/SCI/SCIE/EMBASE/Scopus/DOAJ-indexed journals; completion of the basic course in Medical Education Technology and the basic course in Biomedical Research, both from NMC-designated institutions MBBS and additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council Assistant Professor MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject, as per TEQ Regulation of NMC – 2022 One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject at a recognized/permitted medical college, after acquiring the MD/MS degree MBBS and additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council Tutor MBBS or equivalent recognized by the University of Health Sciences For foreign degrees, passing the screening test conducted by the MCI/NMC may be considered MBBS registered with Telangana Medical Council Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS) MBBS or equivalent recognized by the University of Health Sciences For foreign degrees, passing the screening test conducted by the MCI/NMC may be considered MBBS registered with Telangana Medical Council For the Emergency Medicine department specifically, prior teaching experience in General Surgery, Anaesthesia, Respiratory Medicine, Orthopaedics, or General Medicine will be counted, and the selected faculty member must complete the prescribed faculty development programme within two years of appointment.

Selected candidates will be paid a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration as per G.O.Rt.No.98, Finance (HRM.VII) Department, dated 11.03.2024. The remuneration is all-inclusive and subject to tax deduction at source and other statutory deductions. 1. For Assistant Professor posts: marks obtained in the MD/MS/DNB postgraduate degree
2. For Tutor and CAS posts: marks obtained in the MBBS degree (if marks are not awarded in the qualifying exam, 50% marks will be considered)
3. For Associate Professor posts: duration of teaching experience in that cadre
4. Final selection is based on merit, duration of teaching experience, and interview
5. Rule of Reservation will be followed wherever applicable
6. For local candidature, Bonafide/Study conduct certificates from Class 1 to Class 7 will be considered
7. Selection is nationwide, with first preference given to local candidates of Multizone-II for Assistant Professor, CAS, and Tutor posts; candidates from other states will be considered only if local candidates are not available
