Candidate must be able to speak the Kannada language. 3. Candidate must have completed 18 years of age as on the date the Government notification (reference order) was issued. Applicants must be Indian citizens. Only candidates fulfilling the minimum age and language criteria are eligible to apply; there is no relaxation available in age.

Minimum age: 18 years Maximum age: 50 years Age must be substantiated with educational certificates, Aadhaar Card, ration card, voter ID, or other valid age-proof documents. No age relaxation is available under this recruitment.

1. Priority 1: Candidates with at least one year's prior service (before this notification) as Pourakarmika, Loader, UGD (Underground Drainage) Helper, or Cleaner/Helper in the district's local bodies, ranked by seniority in such service. Proof required: ESI/PF salary payment records, bank passbook, or attendance/muster records for the service period.
2. Priority 2: Consideration for family members of Pourakarmikas who died while performing COVID-19 pandemic-related sanitation duty, or who died in service due to other causes.
3. Priority 3: Candidates with at least one year's prior local-body work experience in allied roles - Loaders, UGD Helpers, Cleaners, waste segregation unit workers, or public toilet cleaning staff.
4. Priority 4: 10% of posts reserved for legal heirs (spouse, parents, or children) of persons who died under Manual Scavengers Act-related circumstances.
5. After exhausting eligible candidates under Priorities 1 to 4, any remaining vacant posts may be filled from other applicant categories, following due procedure.
6. If more than one eligible candidate has equal service tenure and equal age, selection among them is done by lottery.
7. Applications are compiled and forwarded by the concerned local body's Chairman/Chief Officer to the District Urban Development Cell and Deputy Commissioner, Gadag; applications sent directly (bypassing the local body) will not be considered.
8. Final selection decision rests with the Chairman of the Direct Appointment Authority and the Deputy Commissioner, Gadag, in consultation with the selection committee.
