About this recruitment
Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has released a recruitment notification through ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Bharat Nagar, Ludhiana (Punjab) - referred to here as ESIC Ludhiana - for the posts of Teaching Faculty (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Tutor) and Senior Resident, on a contract basis. Notification No. Z/121/2023-MED ADMN-Part(1) is dated 31-07-2026. Selection will be made through a walk-in interview scheduled for 12 August 2026 at the ESIC Medical College Hospital, Ludhiana. There is no online application portal mentioned in the notification; eligible candidates must email their filled application form and documents by 8 August 2026 and then appear in person for the interview.

Pay and allowances
Pay is fixed as per the applicable pay level, along with other admissible allowances. Approximate gross salary figures are as stated in the notification. Post Remuneration Professor Fixed basic pay of Rs. 1,23,100/- (Level 13) + other allowances (gross salary approx. Rs. 2.5 lakh) Associate Professor Fixed basic pay of Rs. 78,800/- (Level 12) + other allowances (gross salary approx. Rs. 1.7 lakh) Assistant Professor Fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700/- (Level 11) + other allowances (gross salary approx. Rs. 1.45 lakh) Senior Resident (3 years, residency scheme) Fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700/- (Level 11) + other allowances (gross salary approx. Rs. 1.45 lakh) Senior Resident (1 year, against GDMO) Fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700/- (Level 11) + other allowances (gross salary approx. Rs. 1.45 lakh) Tutor Fixed basic pay of Rs. 56,100/- (Level 10) + other allowances (gross salary approx. Rs. 1.2 lakh) For Senior Resident posts, Rs. 1,350/- is deducted if the candidate holds only a diploma, and Rs. 2,250/- is deducted if the candidate does not hold a degree or diploma. Retired employees/pensioners engaged under this recruitment may draw their total pay without deduction, as this is not treated as re-employment under the Central Civil Services (Fixation of Pay of Re-employed Pensioners) Orders, 1986, and they can continue to draw pension and dearness relief during the contractual period.
