Employees working in the same Grade Pay of ₹4,600 or Pay Level 7 are eligible. | If suitable employees in Level 7 are unavailable, employees working in Grade Pay ₹4,200 or Pay Level 6 may be considered. | Employees working one grade or level below the advertised post must have completed at least two years of regular service. | Financial upgradation received under MACP will not be treated as the substantive grade for deciding eligibility. | Employees who previously worked as instructors can apply only after completing one year from the date they left the training centre.

The candidate must be below 58 years of age on the date the notification was issued. The age condition is prescribed according to RBE No. 104/2023 dated 4 September 2023.
