DRDO RAC Scientist Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 33 Scientist C, Scientist D and More Posts

Defence Research and Development Organisation Recruitment & Assessment Centre (DRDO RAC) has officially released the Scientist Recruitment 2026 notification (Advt. No. 157) for multiple vacancies across Scientist E, Scientist D, and Scientist C positions under the Defence Research & Development Service (DRDS) cadre. Eligible engineering and science professionals meeting the prescribed educational qualifications and experience requirements can apply online from 30 May 2026 to 19 June 2026 through the RAC recruitment portal. Selected candidates will be appointed on a regular permanent basis under the Lateral Recruitment Scheme with basic pay ranging from ₹67,700 to ₹1,23,100 per month under Pay Levels 11, 12, and 13, along with applicable allowances.

Only Indian Nationals can apply. The date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the prescribed Closing Date (19 June 2026). First Division means 60% marks; where CGPA/CPI of 6.75 on a 10-point scale will be taken as equivalent to 60% as per AICTE guidelines. No rounding off of marks is permitted. Criteria Details Essential Academic Qualification At least First Division Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline OR First Division Master's Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University. (As detailed post-wise above) Experience Post-qualification experience only (experience counted only after passing the essential qualification). Scientist E: 11 years; Scientist D: 7 years; Scientist C: 3 years (as on closing date). Experience below Pay Level 10 as per 7th CPC or equivalent will not be considered. CCA Declaration / NOC All serving candidates in Government/PSU/Government-promoted companies (with 50% or more controlling stake) must upload a signed CCA Declaration at time of online submission. NOC from Cadre Controlling Authority (CCA) is mandatory at time of Final Personal Interview. Weightage for Higher Qualification Post Graduate Qualification in Engineering: 2 years; PG Degree in Medicine/Physiology (Medical Post only): 3 years; Doctorate Degree in Science: 3 years; PhD in Pharmacy: 3 years; PhD in Engineering: 4 years. (Only if in the relevant discipline and acquired before closing date; period of study must not overlap with work experience.) Pay Equivalence (Private Sector) Candidates from Private Sector must submit proof of Pay drawn/Cost to Company (CTC)/CTC revision document/Form 16A during the period claimed as experience.
