DEO Chittoor Academic Instructor Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 249 School Assistant, Secondary Grade Teacher Posts

The District Educational Officer (DEO), Chittoor has issued proceedings (Rc.No: 1901/B4/2026, dated 14.08.2026) for the engagement of 249 Academic Instructors - School Assistants (SA) and Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) - in Govt/ZPP/MPP/Municipality and Municipal Corporation Schools across Chittoor District for the academic year 2026-27. This engagement is purely temporary, for a period of 8 months from 1st September 2026 to 30th April 2027, following permission from the Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada. Eligible candidates can submit applications offline at the concerned Mandal Educational Office (MRC) between 16.08.2026 and 21.08.2026.

Preference is given to candidates who are natives of the concerned village/Mandal. If no candidate is available from the native village/Mandal, candidates from other Mandals will be considered. | Preference is given to TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) qualified candidates. If a TET-qualified candidate is not available for a post, a candidate having the requisite Academic and Professional Qualification for that post will be considered instead. | The application form requires candidates to furnish details of SSC, Intermediate, Graduation, and Post Graduation qualifications, along with professional qualifications (D.El.Ed or B.Ed with Methodology-1 and Methodology-2), stated to be as per the latest DSC (District Selection Committee) notification norms.

Age limit is not specified in the notification. The application form requires candidates to furnish Date of Birth as per SSC Certificate.

Selected Academic Instructors will be paid a fixed monthly honorarium during the 8-month engagement period, credited directly into their bank accounts through online mode. Post Monthly Honorarium (₹) School Assistant (SA) 12,500 Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) 10,000 The engagement is purely temporary for 8 months from 01.09.2026 to 30.04.2027, and services will automatically cease from 01.05.2027. The honorarium will be paid strictly as per rules.

1. The Mandal Educational Officer (MEO) issues a press note indicating the number of Academic Instructors allotted to each school (school-wise, subject-wise, and medium-wise).
2. Eligible candidates submit applications at the MRC (Mandal Resource Centre) on or before 19.08.2026 (per Annexure-I) / by 21.08.2026 (per the main proceedings and Timelines table).
3. MEOs submit all received applications to the District Educational Officer.
4. A Committee scrutinizes the applications (23.08.2026 to 26.08.2026).
5. After Committee scrutiny, the file is processed for approval from the District Collector.
6. Upon approval, the list of selected candidates is communicated to the respective School Management Committees through the concerned MEOs.
7. If any selected candidate does not join at the allotted school, the next meritorious candidate will be considered.
8. The process of engaging Academic Instructors is to be completed by 29.08.2026, with appointment orders issued through the SMC by 30.08.2026–31.08.2026.
