Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) Ship Draftsman Trainee Notification 2026 was released on 18 August 2026 on the official website cochinshipyard.in. A total of 60 vacancies have been announced through the CSL Ship Draftsman Trainee Recruitment 2026 for Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.

CSL Ship Draftsman Trainee Qualification CSL Ship Draftsman Trainee Educational Qualification Discipline Educational Qualification Ship Draftsman Trainee (Mechanical) Pass in SSLC, plus a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education with a minimum of 60% marks, with an aptitude for draftsmanship and proficiency in CAD. Ship Draftsman Trainee (Electrical) Pass in SSLC, plus a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education with a minimum of 60% marks, with an aptitude for draftsmanship and proficiency in CAD. The diploma must be from a University, Institute or Examination Board recognised by AICTE, or an appropriate statutory, State or Central authority. Candidates with equivalent qualifications must submit an Equivalency Certificate; without it, their application will not be considered. Candidates without the prescribed diploma qualification but holding higher qualifications such as B.Tech or M.Sc. are not eligible and will not be considered, even if they otherwise appear qualified. CSL Ship Draftsman Trainee Age Limit The upper age limit is 25 years as on 04 September 2026, meaning applicants should be born on or after 05 September 2001. Selected candidates will undergo a two-year training period and will be paid a monthly stipend, along with eligibility for extra hours of work beyond normal work hours. CSL Ship Draftsman Trainee Stipend Details Training Period Monthly Stipend First Year ₹14,000 Second Year ₹20,000 There will be a performance evaluation at the end of the first year, and the second year of training will be given only to successful candidates. Depending on organisational requirements, vacancy availability and individual performance, successful trainees may be considered for contractual posts for a period of 5 years, at CSL's discretion.
