CSL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 139 Graduate and Technician Apprentice Posts

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a listed premier Mini Ratna Schedule 'A' Company of the Government of India under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has invited online applications for the engagement of Graduate and Technician (Diploma) Apprentices under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973. The notification, numbered CSL/P&A/APPE/SEL. DESIGNTD/DEGREE_DIPLOMA_2023_2024/2023/4, was issued on 12 August 2026.

A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in the relevant discipline; or | A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an institution empowered to grant such a degree by an Act of Parliament in the relevant discipline; or | A graduate examination of professional bodies recognised by the State or Central Government as equivalent to the above. | For Sl. No. 1 to 6 (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation Technology, Civil, and Computer Engineering): a Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council/Board of Technical Education, a University, or an institution recognised by the State or Central Government as equivalent, in the relevant discipline. | For Sl. No. 7 (Commercial Practice): a Diploma in Commercial Practice granted by an institution recognised by the State or Central Government.

Candidates must be above 18 years of age as on 1 September 2026. Reservation of training seats for SC, ST, OBC, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will follow applicable Government of India directives. Minimum physical standards are as prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules 1992, and any amendments thereof. 1. Only candidates who are domicile of Kerala will be considered.
2. Shortlisting is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification for the respective discipline.
3. If multiple candidates secure the same percentage of marks, relative merit is decided by seniority in the year of passing; if the passing year is also identical, precedence goes to the candidate senior in age (by date of birth).
4. Shortlisted candidates must attend certificate verification with original documents (age, qualification, marks, caste, disability certificate if applicable) along with self-attested copies. Candidates who fail to produce originals will be rejected.
5. Candidates who successfully complete certificate verification will be provisionally selected against the notified training seats in order of merit/reservation, subject to medical fitness.
