CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO) Recruitment 2026 notification was released on 14 August 2026 on the official website www.csio.res.in. A total of 6 vacancies have been announced through the CSIR-CSIO Recruitment 2026 for the posts of Security Officer, Receptionist, and Driver.

Educational Qualification and Experience Post Essential Qualification / Eligibility Security Officer Ex-Servicemen JCO (Subedar or higher rank) OR equivalent rank in other Paramilitary forces with a minimum of 10 years' experience in security. The experience requirement is 5 years for Short Service Commissioned Officers and incumbents holding the position of Assistant Commandant in CRPF/BSF/ITBP etc. carrying the pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500. For Inspectors from Paramilitary Forces, the required experience is 10 years. Receptionist Graduate with two years' relevant experience as Receptionist in a Government/Autonomous Body/Public Sector Undertaking. Driver Valid driving licence for LMV & HMV; working knowledge of motor mechanism (able to remove minor vehicle defects); at least 3 years' experience driving a motor car; and a pass in 10th standard. Standard age relaxation applies for OBC (NCL) candidates (3 years, where the post is reserved for that category), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (10 years, 13 years for OBC-PwBD, subject to a maximum age of 56 years), Ex-Servicemen (3 years, or deduction of actual military service), and Widows/Divorced/Judicially Separated Women (up to 35 years, 38 years for OBC), as per Government of India rules. 1. Physical and Personality Assessment Test (qualifying in nature)
2. Written Test - Paper I: Mental Ability and Personality Assessment Test (100 questions, 100 marks, no negative marking); Paper II: Comprehension, Report Writing, Security Regulations & Firefighting, and General Awareness (25 marks each, subjective)
3. Final merit is based on Paper II performance, subject to qualifying the threshold in Paper I (30%) and Paper II (minimum 35%, as fixed by the Selection Committee)
4. Skill Test (qualifying)
5. Written Test - 100 objective-type questions across General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language (25 questions each, 3 marks per correct answer, 1 negative mark per wrong answer); total 300 marks; duration 90 minutes
6. Final merit list is based on written test performance
