Position Qualification Experience CPCL01 – Production 3-year Diploma in Chemical/Petroleum/Petrochemical Engineering, or B.Sc. with Chemistry as major subject; min. 60% aggregate (General/OBC/EWS), 55% for SC against reserved posts Min. 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience in Continuous Process Units of Refining/Chemical/Petrochemical/Fertilizer/Gas Processing industry (Fired Heaters, Exchangers, Pumps & Compressors, Distillation Columns, Reactors, etc.) CPCL02 – Mechanical 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; min. 60% aggregate (General/OBC/EWS), 55% for SC/PwBD against reserved posts Min. 3 years' experience in maintenance of rotary equipment (Pumps/Compressors/Turbines) and stationary equipment (boilers, exchangers, columns, piping, valves, tanks) in Refinery/Petrochemical/Chemical/Fertilizer/Power Plant or large industrial establishments CPCL03 – Electrical 3-year Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering; min. 60% aggregate (General/OBC/EWS), 55% for SC/PwBD against reserved posts Min. 3 years' experience maintaining Motors, Transformers, Generators, HT/LT switchgear, UPS, Battery banks, VFDs, with ability to troubleshoot control circuits, in a continuous process industry CPCL04 – Instrumentation 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Electronics/Instrumentation & Control/Electronics & Communication; min. 60% aggregate (General/OBC/EWS), 55% for SC against reserved posts Min. 3 years' experience in process control instrumentation maintenance, field instruments/control valves, DCS/PLC familiarity, ability to read P&ID and generate calibration reports All qualifications must be from a University/Institution/Board recognized by the Government of India. Diploma via a recognized lateral entry scheme (Class-XII (Sc)/ITI admitted to 2nd year) is also eligible, subject to the prescribed percentage on the aggregate of 4 semesters. Higher professional qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, or MCA make a candidate ineligible ; possession of such qualification at the time of joining can lead to cancellation of the offer.

Only a Secondary/Higher Secondary Board certificate will be accepted as age proof.

Selection process

  1. Objective, multiple-choice questions; total CBT duration 2 hours .
  2. Negative marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer.
  3. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% in CBT for General/OBC/EWS; relaxed by 5% (i.e. 35%) for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
  4. Candidates are shortlisted for SPPT in a ratio of approximately 1:3 (three candidates per post, factoring in reserved posts); tied candidates at the cut-off are all included.
  5. SPPT is of a qualifying nature (does not carry marks toward merit).
  6. Category-wise merit list is drawn from CBT marks, considering only candidates who qualify the SPPT; final selection is subject to being found medically fit.
