CMHO Surguja Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 60 Staff Nurse, Pharmacist and More Posts

The Office of the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Ambikapur, District Surguja, Chhattisgarh - operating under the National Health Mission (NHM) Chhattisgarh - has released a recruitment notification (Ref. No. 1191/NHM/HR/2026, dated 21 August 2026) inviting applications for 60 contractual posts across 19 designations under various district-level health programmes. Eligible resident candidates of Chhattisgarh can apply offline by registered post/speed post before the last date.

Educational qualification, monthly salary, and programme for each post are given below. S. Salary is a fixed monthly contractual honorarium ranging from ₹10,000 (Class 4 posts) to ₹27,500 (Dental Surgeon), depending on the post - see the table above for post-wise figures. The notification specifies that only the consolidated monthly honorarium is paid during the contract period, with no other allowance or facility.

1. Educational Qualification – 65% weightage: based on the average percentage of marks obtained across all years of the Graduation/Post-Graduation qualification (grade-to-percentage conversion applies where relevant, per the grading scheme followed by the candidate's institution)
2. Skill Test / Written Test – 20 marks: conducted post-wise (written or computer-based, as applicable); candidates must score a minimum of 30% to remain eligible
3. Experience – 10 or 15 marks: only experience relevant to the applied post is counted. Candidates currently/previously working under NHM Chhattisgarh get 3 marks/year (maximum 15); other candidates get 2 marks/year (maximum 10). Experience is counted only for government, semi-government, or government-aided institutions, and only for work performed after completing the prescribed qualification
4. COVID-19 Bonus Marks: 10 bonus marks for candidates who served as temporary health workers in Chhattisgarh government health institutions for at least 6 months during the pandemic (Class 3/4 posts), per the Under Secretary, CG Health & Family Welfare Department order dated 03.02.2023; a candidate cannot claim both experience marks and bonus marks
5. Final Merit List (posts with skill test): Educational Qualification marks + Experience/Bonus marks + Skill Test marks (out of 100)
6. Screening-to-interview ratio: for 1–10 advertised posts, 10x candidates called; for 11–50 posts, 5x; for 50+ posts, 3x
7. In case of equal marks, the candidate with the earlier date of birth (i.e. older in age) is given seniority
8. A waiting list is prepared - 200% of sanctioned posts for up to 25 posts, 150% for 26–50 posts, and 100% for 50+ posts - valid for a minimum of one year or until the next fresh recruitment notification
