About this recruitment
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), functioning under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has invited online applications for 133 Scientist-'B' posts (equivalent to Group-'A') on a direct recruitment basis. Shortlisting for the Personal Interaction/Interview stage will be based on a valid GATE score of 2024, 2025, or 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online from 14 July 2026 to 17 August 2026 (5:30 PM).

Selection process
- GATE Score Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1:5 (discipline-wise and category-wise), based on GATE score merit. All candidates with a tied score at the cut-off rank are shortlisted.
- Document Verification: Conducted before the interaction/interview. Candidates who fail to appear with original documents are not eligible for further stages.
- Personal Interaction/Interview: Maximum 50 marks, assessed on Technical (Academic) knowledge, Presentation/Communication Skill/Comprehension, and Academic performance (0.05 mark per percentage in the qualifying degree).
- Unreserved (UR): 50%
- EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwBD: 40%
- Higher GATE paper score ranks higher
- If GATE scores are equal, higher marks in the Technical (Academic) knowledge section of the interview ranks higher
- If still tied, the older candidate ranks higher
