BFUHS Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 – 454 Pharmacy Officer Posts, Apply Online by 1 July 2026

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot has released Advertisement No. BFU-26/20 inviting online applications for 454 posts of Pharmacist (Pharmacy Officer) under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab. The online application window is open from 11 June 2026 to 1 July 2026 at bfuhs.ac.in . This is a significant government pharmacy recruitment in Punjab comprising both fresh posts and backlog vacancies across multiple reservation categories.

Passed Senior Secondary Part-II (Class 12) with Science or its equivalent from a recognised university or institution; AND | Possess a Diploma in Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy) from a recognised university or institution, or higher qualification in the same discipline; AND | Registered as a Pharmacist with the Punjab Pharmacy Council set up under the Pharmacy Act, 1948

Selected candidates will be entitled to pay scales and emoluments as per Punjab Government instructions. The initial pay for the Pharmacist (Pharmacy Officer) post is fixed at ₹29,200/- (Pay Level 5 under the 7th Central Pay Commission). Other allowances and service conditions are governed by the Department of Health and Family Welfare Technical Group 'C' Service Rules of 2016 (with first amendment dated 23.07.2025) and relevant Finance Department instructions.

1. Written Examination – 90 Marks (conducted by BFUHS, Faridkot)
2. Experience Marks – 10 Marks (as per Punjab Government, Health & Family Welfare Dept., Health-5 Branch, Letter Memo No. 1037633: HFW-HLH5021/161/2025-2H5/1/1329287/2026 dated 26.02.2026)
3. Punjabi Language Qualifying Test – Mandatory qualifying test (minimum 50% marks required; failure disqualifies candidate)
4. Document Verification – Certificate verification after written test
5. Police Verification – Required before appointment; must produce Police Verification Certificate and clearance of criminal charges
6. Final Merit List – Combined and category-wise merit list prepared on inter-se merit of written test and experience marks
7. COVID service of less than one year: 5 marks
8. COVID service of one year or more: 10 marks
