Bengaluru South Municipal Corporation Civil Servant Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 102 Pourakarmika Posts

The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Bengaluru South District, through the District Urban Development Cell (DUDC), Ramanagara, has released a notification for the recruitment of Pourakarmikas on a Neravu Paavathi (direct payment/wage) basis. The Bengaluru South Pourakarmika Recruitment 2026 drive covers 102 vacant posts across three Nagarasabhes (Town Municipal Councils): Ramanagara, Channapatna, and Kanakapura. As per Municipal Service Rules 2010, 50% of Pourakarmika posts in Nagarasabhes are filled through direct recruitment and the remaining 50% through the Neravu Paavathi (wage basis) route, which this notification covers. Eligible Indian citizens aged between 18 and 50 years, who can speak Kannada, may apply offline in the prescribed format between 03.08.2026 and 05.09.2026. Priority will be given to candidates with prior sanitation-work experience in these Nagarasabhes, families of Pourakarmikas who died on duty, and members of the notified Manual Scavenger community.

Candidates who have worked for a minimum of one year as a Pourakarmika, Loader, UGD Helper, Driver, or Helper on a daily wage, "dinagooli," or contract (guttige) basis in the concerned Nagarasabhe in Bengaluru South District. | One family member of a Pourakarmika (working on a daily wage basis) who died while on duty due to COVID-19 or other reasons, for consideration under compassionate/Neravu Paavathi appointment. | Locally self-employed or experienced persons who have worked for at least one year on a daily wage basis as Loaders, UGD Helpers, Drivers, Helpers, or in waste-management units, public toilets, or waste-segregation units in the Bengaluru South District Nagarasabhes. | Candidates who belong to, or are family members of, a person recognised as a Manual Scavenger under the Manual Scavengers Act.

Wages for candidates appointed on a Neravu Paavathi basis will be fixed as per the minimum wages notified by the Labour Department, as revised from time to time, along with Provident Fund (PF) and Employees' State Insurance (ESI) benefits.
