Selection process

  1. Screening of applications as per eligibility criteria; the ratio of candidates called for interview to vacancies is generally up to 1:15.
  2. Written test with an objective-type qualifying paper (Paper I, 100 marks, minimum 40% qualifying marks) and a descriptive-type paper (Paper II, 100 marks); only candidates clearing Paper I are evaluated in Paper II.
  3. Candidates securing 50% marks in Paper II are called for the skill test/interview, wherever applicable.
  4. Skill test carries 50 marks with a minimum qualifying score of 25.
  5. The final merit list is based on Paper II (descriptive test) marks, subject to qualifying the skill test.
  6. Interview marks, wherever applicable, carry 20% weightage and are added to the Paper II/single written test score for the final merit list.
  7. The University may, at its discretion, hold a single written (descriptive) test and skill test instead of the two-stage process, depending on the post and number of candidates.
  8. Selection is made purely on the basis of Interview. Meeting the eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee a call for interview.
  9. The Screening Committee shortlists candidates as per University rules and UGC Regulations, 2018 (using the Academic Score in Appendix II, Table 3A, for shortlisting only, wherever applicable).
  10. The Selection Committee's/University's decision on eligibility, shortlisting, and selection is final and binding.
