All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Gorakhpur has released a Detailed Advertisement (Advt. No. AIIMS/GKP/RECT/FACULTY/2026-27/239, dated 14.09.2026) for recruitment to Faculty (Group-A) posts on Direct Recruitment, Deputation, and Contractual basis, in various departments of the institute. Applications are invited by the Executive Director, AIIMS Gorakhpur, from Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders for the posts of Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor.

Experience must be obtained in a department recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) for the award of the qualifying degree, or experience recognised by the NMC as equivalent. The period of experience, wherever prescribed, is counted only after obtaining the prescribed qualification. Relaxation of one year's Teaching/Research experience is available for candidates applying to posts reserved for SC/ST, as per DoPT Rules/Guidelines. For NMC criteria on equivalent qualification/experience, candidates should refer to Gazette Notification F. No. NMC/MCI-23(1)/2021-MED dated 14.02.2022 (Annexure-C to the advertisement).

Maximum age limit for the post of Additional Professor on deputation basis is separately specified in the deputation-specific terms of Annexure-1.

Pay Scale - Direct Recruitment / Deputation Basis Post Pay Scale (7th CPC) Professor Level-14A (₹1,68,900 – ₹2,20,400), plus usual allowances including NPA (if applicable) Additional Professor Level-13A2+ (₹1,48,200 – ₹2,11,400), plus usual allowances including NPA (if applicable) Associate Professor Level-13A1+ (₹1,38,300 – ₹2,09,200), plus usual allowances including NPA (if applicable) Assistant Professor Level-12 (₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400), plus usual allowances including NPA (if applicable) Candidates can apply for Direct Recruitment, Deputation basis, or Contract basis (for retired faculty), depending on vacancy availability; Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts can only be filled on Direct Recruitment basis. 1. Based on bio-data, the Search-cum-Selection Committee may shortlist candidates for interview.
2. Candidates called for interview must produce all relevant original documents (self-attested photocopies of Degrees, Certificates, Mark sheets, Age proof, Caste certificates, etc.) along with the printed application for verification.
3. Candidates already working in Central/State Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Institutions must submit a "No Objection Certificate" from their employer at the time of interview.
4. The offer of appointment, when made, will be provisional and subject to verification of educational and personal credentials by the competent authority.
